How many grams of protien digested per meal, and denature in heat?

I found a protien drink low carb and sugar, not too bad tasting. BUt I have hear theat we humans can only digest about 30 grams of protein at a time, or per intake. Does anyone have medical reference to this? I can easily drink with one scoop and then later in day have another. Just don't wanna be throwing money away by mixing up the protein and having it be wasted. It is also my understanding that protien powders denature in heat, and cannot be used to cook with.
