What can I do for my fear?

I finally got a surgery date, now I am getting scared! After weeks of being approved & waiting for a surgery date, I finally got one for November 26th, but now I am getting scared thinking maybe this is not what I need to do. I guess it is cold feet. I need some help from others who went thru this & how you got over the fear. Thanks!!
