Help!!! I am experiencing excessive hair loss! Will it ever stop???

I am nearly 5 months post op..down over 90 lbs!!! Yeah me!!! The hair loss started around 3 months...which I had expected. I started taking vitamins for my hair at that time. I didn't see any change. So, I did as the bottle instructed and took it several times a day. My hair still comes out in hand fulls!!! I did have very thick hair. But now its thin. Even my sister in law who did my hair for my wedding nearly a year ago was shocked at how thin my hair has gotten. Is there anything I can do to slow it down???? When will it stop?? At the rate I'm going, I may be bald soon!!!! Any help is greatly appreciated!!!
