What are the risks to someone with one kidney?

I was born with one kidney. It is twice the size of a singular normal kidney (it's been doing the work of two for almost 49 years!). I've never had kidney stones. What are the risks of kidney failure for the RNY? I don't want to lose my only kidney. Thanks in advance.
