Why doesn't this weight come off????

I had surgery June 11, 2001. Lost 16 pounds in the first week in hospital; was so thrilled, but since then, weight just drips off. In the last two months, only an additional 15 pounds! Yee Haw! What is wrong here. I'm doing everything I should be. I thought this surgery would eliminate the stress of trying to "starve". In my "other life", it was always like this; only 5 pounds a month and that was if I starved. What is it about my system that the weight won't move? Anybody got any answers? Georgia
