Does anyone else experience blood in there bowel movements. Alot of it?

I had surgery on Monday. Came home on Wednesday. It is AThursday and have had 5 bm's full of old blood. Called my doctor and he said it was normal. Has anyone else experiecned this. I feel fine. Alot of hot flashes and muscle pain but no light headedness. BM's usually accompany an attack of gas pains. Noone at work who has had the surgery has edperiencd this. Melanie
