Has anyone had the surgery with one insurance and then had to switch to another?

I had my surgery April 2000, with Pru-Care HMO. They were wonderful. I just recently had to switch becaue pru-care pulled out of NJ, I now have Aetna HMO. What I want to know is if anyone else had to switch their insurance after surgery, and if the new insurance company paid for any other things needed. I.E.
