Is it normal to feel this good so soon?

My surgery (RNY distal - open) was only a week ago, on 5/21/01, and I'm curious about a few things. My pains seem to be going away (or at least becoming more bearable) at such a quick rate. I'm able stretch & twist more (I'm careful not to overdo it), and I seem to have a burst of energy. I thought that after such a major operation, I'd still be rithing in pain & conked-out in bed. I came home from hospital with Percoset pills for pain and I haven't used any of them yet (well, maybe b/c they taste so disgusting, I'd rather take pain). Is there some pain that's coming down the road soon? ALSO, I'm surprised I'm not really sore in my insides, with all the fiddling around that was done in there. LASTLY, is it normal to kind of feel yoor new stomach? I could've sworn I felt my stomach when the jello came into it. Also when I had some gassines, I thought I felt the staple line. I felt it slightly to the left & alittle higher of my incision. Maybe its my vivid imagination, I don't know. ONE MORE THING -Does anyone know if I could get a video of an actual RNY gastric bypass surgery? Now I'm getting so curious about what exactly happened to me in the OR while I was out.
