HI! I need help in setting up my profile, please

I have went to the "my profile" and was able to login and everything....I just cant figure outr were i should go to make notes on my profile like as the journey goes, my experiences and stuff. I go to the section that says click here to update profile and add comments about yourself, hgobbies, etc....I type something in and it takes but when I go back in to that same section to write something else the old message is still there so I delete it and write something else thinking it will automatically save the first message and go to the new message, but it doesnt...help!!!
