When did you have to start working for it...

I'm 9.5 months out, down about 118lbs (today). I want to lose about 45 more. My question is when did the weight stopp coming off and you had to do the work, (DIET--YUCK) or did it just slow down and eventully came off. If you had to DIET, did you cut carbs, if so to how many a day???? I find I crave the carbs and try despreatly to avoid them, but they always get the best of me and I cave. Any suggestions.....
