Question:
I was just informed that I have a leakage, and some of my sutures have come

undone...What does this mean and what has to be done now?? My doctor was not in the office, his assistant gave me the info and she did not have a lot of answers for me...Any help would be greatly appreciated...Should I be worried?    — Ang B. (posted on February 4, 2002)

Ang, do you mean you have a staple line disruption? I saw where you posted you had a disruption, but this sounds like you mean sutures on the outside???? If you have a disruption, what is the doctor basing this on? Your last post on 1/15/02 said you had lost wt. With a disruption, you usually gain. Sorry I don't understand but would like to comment but need more information. I had a disruption because I wasn't transected. Had it fixed in October 01. Were you transected? I will watch for your comments and try to help, ok?
