Question:
I am stuck I can't understand why?

HI guys I have 2 questions. I was sailing through the weight loss at 65 pounds lost in 10 weeks now I am stuck. I even gain up to 5 pounds back. I dont know what I am doing wrong is this normal? I also drink a lot of water a day between 80-100 OZ but I only pee twice a day. Before surgery I would pee every hour. What could be going on? My DR told me that my thyroid is a lttle off (underactive) so he put me on Levoxyl and I started it 2 weeks ago, ever since I have not lost any weight? please help me. I do not do protien shkaes but I feel I get a lot of protien in that is all I eat I do not eat more than 15 carbs a day. I m addicted so i am not going to go there :) I eat a can of Tuna a day, I eat cheese, I eat salad and chicken. I feel like I am doing everything right. i just started to exercise 2 days ago, so I know its not muscle yet.    — nicole79 (posted on December 10, 2002)

Maybe too much sodium from the tuna, cheese, salad dressing?

Hi... You are doing great! Congratulations on a super loss. Remember that plateaus serve a purpose in that your body must readjust at intervals so don't fret over a plateau. Exercising will help you to boost your loss also so make sure you make it a part of your normal routine. I am hypothyroid and I have periodic points where I stall but usually exercise, watching carbs, lots of water and upping protein helps. I got really upset when my first plateau hit and was sure I'd be the one this would not work for but it did pass. I've been on one now for 8 wks and its starting to budge. As far as gaining: watch your salt, not sure if still menstruating but if so, premenstrual bloat can add to this too. Sounds as if you are doing great. My best to you.

Too much sodium. Tuna is loaded with it. Try fresh tuna or salmon, less sodium.
