Question:
What size is the scoop?

I just ordered a bunch of sample protein powders. All of the samples state that "1 scoop= so much protein". However, the samples obviously does not come with the scoop. Can someone tell me what size the scoop is?? is it half cup?? full cup?? Thank you... pre-op. RNY date=4/1/03    — KellyJeanB (posted on February 16, 2003)

If you ordered the samples from www.vitalady.com, each sample is one serving. If you order the full size container, there will be a scoop inside it.

Hi,I understand that the full size comes with the scoop. My question is.. what size is the scoop? Is every brand a different sized scoop? :-) thank you

VERY good question. I have two big containers of protein powder and they each have a different size scoop. I guess one could measure how many Tablespoons are in a scoop. Hmmmm I was just satisfied with the knowledge that one scoop of this one protein powder was 20 grams of protein. Here's a GOOD question...How many ounces of protein will equal, say, 60 grams of protein?

The scoop size varies by mfr. The amount of protein in a serving of powder will always be about 80%. It takes about 1/3-1/2C of powder to deliver 30g of protein, if the source is whey. Don't let the "scoops" confuse you. Some are small, some are large, but the same volume of powder delivers the same amount of protein.
