I'll say something to you that someone told me when I was at your point. Chill out. It really p-d me off but now at 2 years looking back, that person was right. The weight will come off as long as you're following your program. Don't obsess, sit back know that you're doing the right things and it'll come off. (I'm 2 years out, down 170 and at goal). Good luck and God Bless!

I had my first plateau at around 6-7 weeks out. I seem to have one about every 30-35 lbs. I am 5 weeks out now and have lost 94 lbs, I have about 30 more until I am at goal, so don't worry too much - I know they are awful, but they do end, by the way my longest one lasted 8 weeks. Good Luck!

Although we refer to a week or two without losing weight as a plateau, it actually is not considered a plateau. Real plateaus can last months! Most of us experience these little halts in weight, a week or two or a bit more, with the first one hitting us at around 3 weeks post-op. Your not doing anything wrong-just stay the course and it will pick up again when ready. Check out "plateaus" in the library to read tons of info on this pesky subject.
