Question:
Is there any specific creams or products you can suggest post-op?

I am wondering if anyone can tell me products that you have used, that have noticibly worked, to help out skin appearance after you start losing weight. There are numerous cellulite reducing creams, scar & stretch mark creams and I'd like to see if anyone has tried them.    — Kathy K. (posted on June 4, 2003)

i started using a product by avon.....its affordable and I can feel it penerating in to the skin.....I had my wls on 5/12/03..So im not sure how its working yet, but it feels effective.

Hi! I had my surgery on 4-22-03. I am using Mederma on my incision & I believe that it is helping, alot!

hi there, i have not had my surgery yet.(hoping for August)but i can tell you my mother lost an enormous amount of weight nad used Nivea Extra Firming Lotion and it seemed to help a lot.but just as her doctor has said.The lotions and creams may help a bit, but don't count on them too much. and from what i ahve read PS is about the only thing that works..Good Luck and God Bless and Congrats!!!!!!!!

For scars I use 'Scargo' which is available from vitalady. I love it! I can tell the difference after only 3 days of using it (applied 3-4 times a day). It is only $6.50 I think and the Mederma is twice the cost. Regarding tightening of skin I have heard from a friend that Avon has a wonderful skin treatment that works. You still have to exercise but it does help somewhat. Good luck!
