Question:
I haven't lost weight

I havent been good these past few months. I haven't really stuck to a diet or exercised. I am going to start Monday with the protien drinks and vitamins. BUT I ntoice that my clothes are getting bigger. I'm still in a size 10 but they are loose. I feel like such a failure. That I should be at goal.I am 5 foot 6 and weigh 174-179 how much should I realisticly weigh? I feel almost thin. I love all parts of my body EXCEPT for my stomach. I have a hard time understanding how anyone in a loose size 10 who used to weigh almost 300 pounds could feel like a failure. You're a wonderful success. I weighed 250 and I am now in a 10 and feel that it's awesome. I know we all have distorted body image and if anyone ever came up with the cure for that they'd be an overnight millionaire! I say "Bravo" to you for getting back on track in order to maintain your weight and health but please know that you are by no means a failure. There are 6 to 10 million obese Americans who would give anything to trade places with you. Celebrate your success! You deserve it!

That is so weird. I am also 5'6", weigh 145 and wear a size 10. I must be my mammoth bones or something:~) I don't feel like a failure, I feel fantastic. I am sorry you aren't happy with your body right now. I do wish to lose another 10 lbs., and want a tummy tuck, want to be in a size 6. But I have decided to be happy where I am at this time. If I meet another goal, I'll be even more thrilled. Be proud of yourself and hold that head up high!

I'm going to be really tough on you... a little reality check... WHEN was the last time you wore a loose size 10? I never ever did in my life.. I went from whatever I wore as a kid to a tight 16.. and right now.. I'm back close to that 16.. I'm an 18... and.. I come here to read that someone who weighs 174-179 a failure? Hmmm.. what am I? Please... get some help and perspective... take pics and compare them to prior surgeries.. go look at others at the mall, get to support group.. or better yet.. find a therapist familiar with weight and body issues... You've come a hell of a long way.. and are more than a success.. you've done fantastic... and hey.. don't wait till Monday to do the protein and vitamins.. ok? do them now... its time.. right? Keep that size 10.. or maybe go further?

HI there, Nicole! Girl you have done a great job and in a size 10 ?! I am 180 lbs. and still am wearing a size 18, they are JUST starting to get loose. I would love to be in a 10, the last time I was in it was probably when I was 10 years old! You're doing fantastic! Vi. open RNY 9/23/02 down 143 lbs.
