Question:
What is the longest plateau anyone has had and what did you lose after it finally

broke. I have not lost any weight in over 2 months. 10 months out. Exercising regular, eating moderately, good healthy foods, pleny of protein, watching my carbs, could drink more water but I feel I am doing every thing right and the scale just doesn't budge.    — Gail O. How much water are you drinking? Water can really make a difference. Try getting in 64 oz a day for a while and you might be surprised.

I say this with love; there are some things that science does not understand. I believe that weight is not solely a matter of calories in/ calories out. We cannot totally understand why our weight goes up and goes down. We just have to accept reality for what it is. And it isn't always what we wished it would be. Hope I don't offend anybody else who believes differently.

I am in the exact same boat. I am getting so frustrated. I wish I had an answer for you but know that you are not alone. I eat right, exercise, drink water and still nothing. Its so annoying.

I am about 15 months out and haven't lost anything in about 8 months. Perhaps I am where my body feels comfortable, even though I would like to lose at least 40 more lbs. I just keep on keepin' on. I have heard of one person who didn't lose anything for months and then started losing again for no particular reason.

I'm 13 months out and it's been 2 months since the scale moved. I do get frustrated especially when so many say they are near goal and I still have about 60lbs to go. I work out, dont go near refined sugar, dont drink alchol etc. The upside is I am losing inches everywhere and the clothes are getting larger and I feel great. As my support group leader says "be happy where you're at right now"

Am I misreading something? Your profile shows a 5 pound weight loss recorded 2/1/04...that is not a plateau!
