It's time to join the Grad list. No guarantee that you'll get the rest of the wt off, but there's also the trick of maintaining the loss you have achieved. There is a lot of combined long term experience on this list and I'd recommend it in conjunction with this site and any local lists you use. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Graduate-OSSG

Hello Evett, I looked at your profile and I can't really tell what you are eating or what kind of supplements you are taking so it's hard to offer advice. Have you tried tracking everything you eat and drink for a couple of weeks to be sure you're getting enough protein, see how many calories you are really consuming and are you having your labs done regularly and are you comparing from one lab to the next so you can spot any trends? Are you okay on B-12 and Iron and are you drinking plenty of non-caffeinated, non-carbonated liquids - dehydration can cause extreme tiredness. Joining the Grad list would be good but it would also be good to get the "pouch rules for dummies" and be sure you are following the rules. Just remember, this is a lifetime thing, not something we do for awhile then go back to our old ways. You've taken the first step toward getting on track by asking for help. Best of luck to you as you work toward getting on track.

Want to let you know you are not alone! I am over 2 years post op and still trying to lose 30 more lbs. I started about where you did, and have been able to maintain, and haven't gained anything back. I have been able to lose a few more lbs., and here is what works for me: cut the calories, and exercise. Each of us is different and I really think we need to find what works for ourselves. I only take certain foods to work with me - and that is what I allow myself to eat. I really have to watch it, but this sems to be working for me. I try to get protein from food sources, since having 3 protein shakes a day was adding about 500 calories to my day.I hope you can find something that works for you. Be sure you keep taking your vitamins and minerals!

I also would like to lose another 30 lbs. As soon as I stop eating sugar and carbs and get back to the basics.... protein, water and exercise... I lose a few lbs. But since I have been doing this for over a year I get TIRED of it. Life is so limited and boring when you are dieting. I know this... but you have to make that SACRAFICE to get to where you want/need to be. God bless you in your efforts! Go back to the beginning... you will lose more!
