Question:
I've been denied before 2005 and need to file an appeal, has anyone used Gary Viscio?
Is he reputiable and has anyone had the denial overtuned,I had all my info in before 2005 and qualified? — neicey (posted on January 24, 2005)

Call him and see what he says...he will let you know up front what he
thinks he can do....and if he says he will take the case....sit back and
let him go at...GOOD LUCK

You may want to post to Melissa Mermaid. She can be found normally on the
DS messageboard. I believe she had the same attorney that you mention and
was got approval for the BPD/DS surgery in November 2004. My best to you.

I did not use him, but used Kelley Lindstrom from Obesitylaw.com and I got
approved. I thought she was worth every penny spent, feel free to read my

I to had been denied, 2x, then with the help of Gary Viscio, I did gain
approval, he is wonderful. I e-mailed him and highlighted the situation, he
answered, I retained his service, and the rest is history. He got right on
it, did not waste any time. I first requested approval from ins. in 1/04,
with Gary's help gained approval 1/05. I put this is his hands and he did
take care of it, I was just at the end of my rope. Check out his site, My

I used him and was very happy and got approved through Cigna on second
appeal without the full 6 month diet that they require.

i was going to use him i told him my problem.my husbands employer dropped
coverage for obesity sx while completeing 12 wk supervised diet. so we
can't prove medically necesary since it's an exclusion. self funded co.
gary told me it would be really tough to fight. i appreciate his honesty
and patience soooo much.i am looking for new ins co.for myself that will
cover sx. in ga.i WOULD ABSOLUTLEY
