Question:
Mini Arm Lifts?

I am looking for people who have undergone mini arm lifts as opposed to the full arm lift. How were your results? Where is the scar - in the armpit area? My upper arms measure about 10 1/4 to 10 1/2 and my hanging skin is 2 inches. I don't want the scar associated with the full arm lift however I am interested in a mini arm lift where maybe an inch or so of hanging skin can be removed. There is nothing to lipo - there is no fat just hanging skin. If anyone knows of a doctor in the NY/NJ/PA/CT area who does the mini arm lifts successfully please let me know. Kim, I had the mini arm lift along with a breast lift. I am not very satisfied with the mini arm lift. I also didn't feel it was necessary to have the full arm lift as I only had a small amount of hanging skin around the upper arm area. Well, now I have puckered and wrinkled skin just above the elbow so it shows even with short sleves. It actually looked better before the lift. The incision is in the arm pit and runs from front to back. If had it to do over again I would have gone with the full lift. One of my friends had the full lift and a year later you cannot even see her scar. Anyway, good luck with whatever you decide. Talk openly with your surgeon to see what his/her thoughts are. Debbie

I had the armpit only scar with the mini lift. I am very satisfied with the results. It is NOT for everyone. If your arms are large, then you should NOT have this procedure done as you will NOT be happy with the results.
