Question:
Am five days post op and am very nervous about the way i have been feeling im scared

HI. im five days post op and am still quite a bit of pain. What i am most concerned about is that i have this feeling like a lump in my throat and my blood pulsating and my heart beating fastin my throat.MY body temp seems to change from hot to kinda clammy also throughout the day . I have no appetite at all and it really hard to eat and even drink. Have any of you had these problems and when did they go away?......Also im really concerned about the dry mouth and breath when will those go away?    — jackie J. (posted on February 21, 2000)

Jackie, Have you spoken to your doctor about this? As far as pain goes I was still on a morophine pump at 5 days post op. I haven't experiences the other symptoms you speak of but my daughter had a panic attack a few years ago that had similar symptoms. Please consult your doctor.

You must drink! You donot want to get dehydrated, call your physician and tell him how you are feeling. You have got to get fluids down even if its a sip every hour.
