Will the Insurance company pay for the abdominalplasty if you have a hernia.

I have united healthcare select hmo and was wondering what is the success rate of having an abdominalplasty approved by the insurance company without paying a deposit up front if you have a hernia!!!    — [Anonymous] (posted on March 23, 2001)

You'll have to check w/ your insurance company. I'm not sure what an abdominoplasty has to do w/ a hernia and then what paying upfront has to do with it as well. Work on getting the admominoplasty authed.. based on medical necessity.. skin infections.. perhaps even the hernia etc..
