You are doing great!! I had surgery 12-28-00 and I have lost 65 lbs. Try upping your protein and drinking more water to break the plateau. I really think your body is just adjusting since you lost so much already.

I am fortunate to belong to a wonderful support group and everything I have heard is that around 75 lbs there is another plateau. I am 5 months post op today and down 80 lbs and here I am down to losing around 1 lb a week. I expected it so I am not discourged. One of my friends told me she went 2 months and only lost 6 lbs so I keep that in mind. I cannot for the life of me drink protein it makes me violently ill so I will get rid of the carbs and see if that jump starts the process. Just be patient...you will start losing again soon. Good luck to all.

I had my surgery on Dec. 2, 2005 - since then I've experienced 2 plateaus in 4 1/2 months. There seems to be a pattern. It seems that after a 20-25 lb. loss, yout body has to catch up with what's going on. For example, I plateaued all through my 30-40 lb. loss - seemed to take forever for the scale to move, but that I flew through the 40's like nothing. The 50's also another plateau with lasted forever, but the 60's are going by in the blink of an eye......Maybe we just have to be patient - just think of what our bodies have gone and are going through.
