Question:
Has any one had a tubal ligation reversal during surgery?

I know it is common to have a tubal during surgery, but has anyone had a tubal reversal during surgery? I have 4 children and decided to have my tubes tied, because my weight caused me to have high bloodpressure and very high risk pregnancys. My husband and I would love to have more children in the future. Any suggestions?    — Jody Diou (posted on July 10, 2001)

This is a question for your surgeon and your gynocologist.

I have a tubal and think that it would probably be best to wait until after you lose the weight and then a get a reversal. It would be safer for you and the baby if you should get pregnant right away, accidents do happen. A tbal is the best option for birth control. I had a tubal for the same reasons.I have 3 kids and the last 2 were both early due to problems with my cervix and I feel that my weight helped contribute to them. But yes,I agree with the other person who posted, talk to your Dr and ask,I think they would tell you it would best to wait too.
