Question:
Pregnancy with a hernia?

Is is dangerous to get pregnant when you have a hernia? I'm not pregnant now but would like to in the future after my one year anniversary. I know I have a hernia and my doctor keeps mentioning repairing the hernia when I get a tummy tuck. But I know I should wait to have a tummy tuck until after I have a baby. So is it risky to get pregnant when I already have a incisional & an umbilical hernia?    — S L. (posted on July 30, 2001)
