Ins. will cover hernia/gall bladder but no wls, is it poss. to pay remaining balance?

Are you a Veteran, if you served your country, the veterans administration has a program that would provide surgery for you in Alabama. other wise, ask on the DS forum. Self pay is common for DS, as it is often excluded when others are not.

I don't know about your doctor but I know that mine would not do a gallbladder removal and Lap RNY at the same time due to risk but I have heard that some doctors do it and yes, you would only be responsible for the part of the hospital stay that was for the WLS.
