Question:
Do Pain meds absorb into your system if your a distal RNY

I have noticed that if I take pain pills for example * Darvocet* that they do not seem to be working or not working very well could the Open RNY distal with malabsorbtion be the reason? has anyone else experienced this problem..if so what pain meds did your Doctor give you...I have pain in my right knee and calf after i lay down at night it is shooting pains so i take pain meds to get to sleep..but they are not working    — Kathleen M. I am having to take double doses of pain meds to have the same effect as they did before the surgery. Also...my PCP told me that darvocet is not much more than your basic tylenol...very light weight.
