Hey, Run don't walk to your doctor! Or at least call this could be a septic infection! They can get life threatening, I had one. It gets red, swells, burns, and is very painful. When they took out a stapple it brust open with nasty smelling gooo. If I had let it go longer I would have died. I ended up on IV antiboitics in the hospital. Get check out please.. Judy R

Should only ask your dr. this question! Could be part of the healing process or if it's hot, red and real painful an infection most likely...or it could be that you are incubating an alien in your body all this time and now it's been disturbed and wants out! LOL

Hi Geasjun, thanks for asking your question. I agree with the others to call your surgeon right away. You need to check in with this one. It could be the beginning of infection or something very simple like nerves connecting. Sometimes that causes pain. Especially if you had an open procedure. But, in any event, please call your surgeon and fill them in right away. Thanks. Patricia P.

I agree with everyone else in that you should call your surgeon. I did, however, post a similar question when I was about 1 week out, I had severe burning seemingly inside of my body when I would get up and sit down. It was excrutiating but happened whenever my insides were "tossed around". I did ask my surgeon and he said it was due to muscles healing and insides coming back to life and mending themselves back together. The pain went away after about a week because I started wearing a support garment to "hold my stomach in" and that helped a ton!! Good luck to you. Angela
