Don't worry about it. It's just a plateau it happens. It's gonna happen again. Look at your big picture. What are you eating? Are you journaling? Are you exercising? You might be eating more calories then you are burning or vis versa. Look at it and get back to the post.

You're doing great!!!! Almost 50 pounds in less than 3 months is fantastic!! Plateau's come and go. If you are eating the way you are suppose to the weight will come off!! Take your measurements. Are you losing inches? Exercising? Eating too many Carbs? Maybe you aren't eating enough? Up your protein. Evaluate what you are doing, fix what needs fixing and the weight will start dropping off, I promise! Keep up the good work, it will all be worth it!! I started out at 234. I have lost almost 100 pounds in a year. I got a size 4 slacks on last night!! Amazing feeling!! Good luck on your journey!!

Plateaus are spots where your body has memory of being at before for a period of time. I had my surgery in April of 2010 and lost most of the weight I wanted to lose. I did plateau at 160 and stayed there for about 4 months and I was desperate to loose more (this was my weight for several years)...pretty soon it finally started coming off again and now I am plateauing again at the 140 mark...another weight I was at for several years.

I have been chugging along slowly, not at a ridiculous speed, but chipping away at my weight. I had my surgery on July 5, 2011, weighing in at 314lbs and can happily say that I now weigh 250lbs 4 months out. I hit a plateau a few weeks ago and realized it only after a week. Once I realized it, I kicked my gym circuit up. I went from doing 30 minutes of elliptical and 30 minutes of weight training to 5-8 minute warm up treadmill jog, 25 minute elliptical sprints, 10 minutes wave machine and 10 minutes of stair climber. The next week I lost 6lbs. In a plateau you just have to change something that you're doing to kick you body i gear. Whether that means changing how you eat (cutting out carbs) or what it can be done.

a plateau is necessary for your body to strenghen...changing your workout routine is helpful too... and always hydrate... water is key...I think of it as the fluid that flushes the fat out... makes me drink more

You are frustrated! I'm am thoroughly frustrated, but quite a bit of it is my own fault. I haven't gained or lost a pound in 2 years (I believe). So, making changes. Appointment with a dietician, a few sessions with a personal trainer. See where things go from there. Remember to drink plenty of water and get your protein in, as well as get moving! Good luck!

Patience! Endurance! Changes or Tweaks! Keep on Going! Even More PATIENCE!! Plateaus are normal and speaking only from my experience can be frustrating for sure. But remember, the weight did not come on over night and so we must keep patience in our bodies losing the weight. I have lost 313 lbs sine 08-23-10! I had my Gastric RNY 12-15-10! I have hit plateaus of 3 and 4 weeks at a time, then one day I drop 10 to 18 lbs and keep going down. Worry less, keep doing what you are doing, tweak what you are doing to keep your body going! Fuel your body to keep burning! You are doing a great job! Way to go!
