Question:
Has anyone's monthly period become more sporatic.

I am - 43 lbs at 11 1/2 weeks out. I am now having a 2nd period in 2 weeks whereas before surgery I was pretty regular at once a month. Could this be due to the fast weight loss? Any opinions..    — Betty M. (posted on November 13, 2001)

I was also very regular before surgery. Now, I never know when I'll get my period, maybe every 2 weeks, maybe in 2 months. I'm not that far out from surgery, so I would attribute it to my weightloss.

I have also had 2 periods this month. I am 31/2 weeks post op, I had my period 5 days before my surgery, and had another one one week after my surgery. I asked the doctor about this and he said thiat it is due to the hormone imbalance that we undergo after surgery. He said it will take months for the body to get back to normal balance.

I AM ALMOST 5 MOS POST AND I AM STILL HAVING MY PERIOD EVERY TWO WEEKS..I FINALLY GOT ON BIRTH CONTROL PILLS AND I AM HOPING THAT WORKS. GOOD LUCK
