Question:
Help! I am 9 months post-op and down 70 pounds. But nothing in the last 10 weeks.

What can I do to get the weight loss started again. I thought I was getting enough water and protein plus I try and get walking in every day. What gives? I have at least 60 more lbs to lose.    — Betty M. (posted on May 13, 2002)

10 months and lost 96. BUT, I held at 90 for two months! Scared me to death, then........all of a sudden it started falling off again. Don't worry, let your body adjust, it will come off!

I am almost 6 months post op and was stuck for about a month.. I've just started losing again, slowly but surely. I think this is all part of how this works - the body gets used to what you do with it and you need to give it a jump start. Try adding a different kind of exercise, perhaps that will help. Good luck! Down 79 lbs in almost 6 months.

Hi, I am 9 months post op and stuck at 111 lbs shed. I haven't lost any weight in atleast a month. In fact, I keep bouncing back and forth with the same 5 lbs!! I figure two things. Either, I am done and *very greatful* for what has come off OR I am on a big plateu and it will pick up when my body has had time to adjust and keep going. Either way, I am lighter, happier and have more energy than I did 9 months ago and couldn't be happier. Don't worry, just give your body time to adjust and things will happen :) Good Luck!!!
