Question:
I am 61 years old and have a BMI of 60.5. My surgery is scheduled for October 10th.

Boy!! Am I glad you posted. I am 64 years old with a BMI of 41 and my surgery is scheduled for October 16. I too need a surgery buddy. I am both excited and scared and the fear of failure is running rampant. What a rollar coaster ride. Good luck to you and I will be praying for a speedy recovery for you. Hello there from Tucson, AZ I am 61 years old also and my surgery is scheduled for October 8. I have chosen the "vertical sleeve" and am also scared of the same things you are worried about. You now have an additional buddy........

I would just like to let you in on the Over Fifties Forum on OH. We go by the name OFF and are such a friendly and assuring bunch of OFF sisters and brothers. Feel free to join us and come chat with us for a bit to see if you will like us. We are somewhat a secret in OH but we have a lot of people who had their surgery while in their 50's and 60's.

I too, am a member of the wise in wisdom group.. ( over 50 yrs old) Really 59. I should be having gastric bypass this month if the different fequest from the doctors dlow down. (Lol) Keep in touch. Shelley
