Frothing, or the "Foamies" is when you have eaten something to rich, or eaten too much. Your mouth fills with saliva. Sometimes you throw up. Sometimes you don't. Dumping is the reaction your body has when you eat foods containing too much sugar or complex carbohydrates. Because of the re-routing of your digestive system, food is dumped farther down into the small intestine. Symptoms of dumping include, Nausia, rapid heart rate, sweating, dizziness, and possibly vomiting. It feels alot like a panic attack. You can avoid this by eating your protein first and eliminating sugar and starches from your diet. Also, watch out for foods that say sugar free, but have a high, alcohol sugar in them. They can be worse than pure sugar. Hope this helps.

Foamies/Frothing is very viscous - not just wet, it is gooey (at least in my case). When I have had to relieve myself of Foamies, only this gooey liquid came out - no food. I do not get dumping, but I also haven't really "tested" my body. Following my diet is what I have been striving toward. Dumping is supposed to REALLY be nasty, so don't try to test your body after surgery. Brenda : )~

Foamies usually happened to me at night. I would have box of tissues by my bed. Sometimes it would so much that I would to get up and rinse out my mouth after relieving myself of the foamies. It is gross, just thick mucus constantly coming out. Eating the protein to eliminate it.

I don't foam but I o dump and it can be very painful. Sometimes it feels like the worst cramps or gas I ever had. I've felt like passing out but could not and became so dizzie I laid in the middle of the floor so I would not fall and hit my head. When it happens you will know; no doubt and there is no way you will ever mistake dumping for anything else. Dumping does not always happen right away either. It can hapen within 20 minutes to 2 hours after eating something high in sugar and carbs.
