Question:
My post op group said at 6 month I should be eating 1200 cal

I eat 1400 and count them and write them down- I exercise (run, do weights and play soccer once a week) 6 days a week and have lost 96 lbs at 6 months- am I eating too much?    — arbinks (posted on January 24, 2007)

I'm 4 and a half months out and lost a little over 70-I eat between 1000-1200 and am also quite active-I think you are right on track and 96 pounds in 6 months is awesome-I only hope to be at that in 2 more months-Congrats!!

If you are still losing weight, you are not eating too much, but don't make that a license to eat more. Eat to be satisfied, not full. Obesity is a head issue with a body consequence, so be careful that your head doesn't fool you. If you are sticking to protein, water and exercise (mostly), then you are doing well. I am almost 3 years out and still maintaining my weight just fine. The tool is great, it is the head issues that trick us into old habits. Take care. Patricia P
