I agree that you should ask your Dr. Mine told me that as long as it
states what kind of surgery. My bracelet just states "ROUX-EN-Y
ANASTOMOSIS"

I just showed my doc last week he thaught it was great, I think the
prefrence is yours, my doc said it is up to me. Alot of people do not want
to wear it alot do. I choose too.
they have them all the way up to several hundreds of dollars, ebay as I
said has a bariatric medical bracelot actualy looks as the others, I like
it I wear it so the Id is on the bottom on my wrist and wear my silver
watch and it looks fine, about breveations I know what they mean but the
spelling LOL RNY is the gastric bypass where they by pass the intestine and
make a small pouch in your stomach area forming a new stomache u can put
the breveations in the oh web site and it will explain better sorry

There is a website called IDTAGSFORALL. I ordered my bracelet from them.
They were the cheapest I found. My bracelet says "Implanted Medical
Device-Lapband". I received my bracelet a day after surgery (2/17/09)
it has a beaded bracelet links instead of a chain. Hope this helps.
