Question:
Morning time nausea, is this normal?

I'm about 4 months post op LAP RNY and every morning I wake up I'm so queasy on my stomach. Is this normal? The first thing I drink in the morning is my protein drink (EAS) then the queasiness goes away. How can I prevent this from happening every morning?    — Kbrisbon (posted on October 16, 2008)

Your nausea is being caused by the fact that you are hungry. your stomach is so much smaller and has no food in it. thats why you feel better after your shake. for a much better protein shake my i recomend our Recovery. it is a much better balanced product, or even our protizyme it has a lot more to offer than what you are currently using. contact me and i will discuss it with you. Unfortunately that is a side effect that some people do get from the surgery. I had it too! It does go away. MIne lasted 5 weeks & then nothing! Zofran was my best friend too! Ask you Doc for it! Good luck and welcome to "The Club"! Lori in Michigan

Most likely what the other authors have said, however, be sure you're not pregnant. Good luck, Dawn Vickers, RN, BLC, CLC

I wake up hungry but not nauseous. I think because I eat a very tiny snack about 1 hour before bedtime. Sometimes it is just 1/2 Atkins Advantage shake, sometimes it is 1/2 cup of soup. Just something for my little tummy to work on before my eight hour sleep. Maybe this will help you too.
