I have no recommendation for that area but a word to the wise.Your journey starts the day u decide to have the surgery. The actual surgery is only one step toward the rest of your life.may I suggest u start now by trying to elimanate the card monkey from u'r food intake. There will be enough to deal with post op and it is so much easier to have the "monkey"in a cage.Besides the so much easier,if you can loose some weight pre op the first place it will come from is around the liver. This makes easier access for the DR to do the procedure thus better for u.I lost 56 lbs the 7 months pre op had open RNY and continued to loose 265 lbs total five yrs ago.You will always have to follow some type of food plan, however the surgery is a wonderful part to help u regain a life .Good luck to u and u'r sister

i am in south jerzee (lindenwold) and i have aetna -- had to do the pre-op 6 month dr supervised diet with my PCP -- i went to Dr. Matt Kirkland in philly at university of penn hospital -- great experience -- i had my approval for surgery in 2 weeks with aetna -- make sure you follow the surgeons advice and recommendations and do everything the insurance wants and you should not have a problem with approval -- i never had to call the insurance company -- i never had to find a cardio or pulmonary dr or nutritionist or psych dr or anything -- everything was right there at my surgeons office and they set up everything and did all the paperwork -- all i had to do was show up when they told me -- i had a textbook surgery and recovery and my weight loss was awesome -- i've been maintaining well and would do it all over again with this team

Hi.. I actually live in Delran and am considering surgery... and I have aetna... you have to call them to see what your plan covers... mine is aetna select and cover the surgery100%.. the only payment is 100.00 a day for the hospital stay... I have an appointment at the University of Penn Hospital.. I have been researching for a long time... have considered for years but always scared... from everything I have learned about Penn I am totally excited to get started... oh and my mom and sister are RN and have asked around and Penn is the BEST according to all the medical staff around (even the nurses in the Bariatric sections of the hospitals in Burlington County)....we live close enough to Philly to take full advantage!!!!
