Question:
Had Rouen Y surgery 2008, lost 113 lbs. I'm exactly half of me....

however, I've gained 15 lbs. back. Does anyone have the diet plans from the start that they are willing to share. I know about the 5-day pouch test. I'm looking for the exact foods and measurements that you start out with, listed by the weeks. I would love to lose the extra 15 lbs by Valentines Day.    — * S. (posted on November 17, 2011)

This is from the Weight Watchers program back in 1973: BK:Fruit or fruit juice Choice of Cheese 1 ounce hard or 1/4 cottage cheese or Fish 2 ounces or Egg,1 or Cereal, 1 serving 1 slice bread-(u=if choose cereal, bread can be moved to another meal Lunch: Choice of Fish, meat, poultry: 3 ounces,or Cheese 2 ounces or 2/3 cottage cheese, or Eggs, 2 Vegetables: 1/2 cup (non starchy) Bread: 1 slice Evening: Choice of Meat, Fish, Poultry-4 ounces Vegies 1 cup If bread not eaten at breakfast because of cereal, you can substitute 1 portion of macaroni or rice,or small starchy vegies such as pototoe Daily: 1 tlb healthy oil, margerine, or mayo- 2 tlb if diet 2 glasses of skim milk or yogurt, or fat free cheese 3 fruits 8 glasses of fluids Bread:go for the kind that has either high protein or high dietary fiber. Arnold has the Heartful line of bread that has 5 grams of protein and 5 grams of dietary fiber. I hope this helps. I find that when my eating starts getting out of control, this is the plan that I go back to so it keeps my on my toes.

You should be able to loose it faster than february, cut out the carbs, go back to using some protein drinks and make sure you exercise. I had GBP about 20 months ago and stalled in the loosing after 130 pounds have gone but I can easily lose 3 pounds overnight by doing just as I described, cut carbs, more protein and more exercise. Moving around is hard for me as I do medical transcribing so sit at the computer for many hours but I make sure I get moving for at least an hour per day.

I was reading throught the responces to your question. I am going to raise a red flag here onone of the answers for you. It was from foxymama I believe is her I.D. She with good intentions gave you her WW 197? Diet that she follows. It ia not for weight loss but maintainnce. If you couln the calories taht you would be taking in you are way past what you need . You need to go back to whaat you did in the first 3 months after your surgery. That will cause your pouch to shrink bakc down. I have been told by my doctor that under no circumstances should I eat 1/2 hour before I eat and 1 Hour after. This if for the rest of your life. It will only wash the food that you do eat out of your pouch and make you hungry. You need to eat smaller portions and eat in the correct order. Protein first then veg then starch . Eat slow. Try this each mouth full should be chewed 30 times before you swallow. I was also taught that fruit juices are not a great fruit replacement as it is acting as liquid sugar. You should be getting your daily vitimans anyway from your daily oral dose so you don't have to worry about that. I am 2 years out and have lost 220 and have only 8 lbs to go so I know that this works. Key here is taking the time to move around. If you are only able to walk.. or you might say I amalready doing it then just either choose a path that has different inclines. You don't have to be climbng a mountain not even a hil but natural grades in the sidewalk and over grass or better yet in sand will do the trick. Now with the snow coming that will work like sand. Simply doing the things that you do every day works too just challange yourself to speed them up. For example: Making your bed. Instead of just pulling up the sheets and blankets each day strip the bed right down and make it as fast as you can from scratch as if you were puttin on fresh linens every day. Speed wash your dishes. If you have a dishwashr then wash by hand for a while as fast as you can safely. Scrubb with vigor your tub and shower. Vacume your carpets daily. Sweep and wash floors daily with vigor. Not only will you have a sparkling clean home but you got your work out for the day and burned off your food for the day. Gums can be expensive. Use what you have at home. Get tins of veggies and do arm lifts. You can take a larger tin and pass it to yourself all around you body at your waist in both directions. if you have a chair such as a kitchen chair you can use the back of it ot do standing pushups. Use your wall to your advantage. Put a towel at your back and make like you are sitting in a chair with your backflat against the wall. Hold it thaare as long as you can even if you start to shake. That is a good sign that your muscles are working now for you. Then in this position lift one leg at the time and old it then switch, Then you can try with the towel at you backto help you slide up and down your wall using your legs to lift your upper body. Another is to stand one arm legnh away from the wall sideway and use that arm to support your body and lift yourself in and out towards the wall. You can also be one arm legnth away from the wall with your hand at shoulder height and now lift your leg side ways away from your body, then switch directions. You might feel silly doing these but they work. You can do these for free and get a similar work out that you ge in the gym right in your home at your convience. Remember you have been weightlifting for years your excess weight so your muscles have muscle memory so they know what to do you just need tell them what to do. LOL If you find that is to difficult to get down the simply do them on your bed. As you work up your stamina you will be able to eventually do them on the floor. LOL Don't forget knee bends if you are not able to do these then do leg lifts sitting on a chair or flat on the ground. To simply build your core muscles sit on the edge of a hard chair and put your hands out in front of you at shoulderheight and simply stand up with a straight back then sit down then repeat this over and over. I have thought of having a tummy tuck then I discovered tis and now I have minimal over hang after 6 months of doing these simple things. And yes my house sparkles too LOL You will thing about the house cleaning as a waist of time as it is already clean but if you have to exercise anyway... do it constructively. I might just add here this note.. I HATE EXERCISE!!! I Just went back to basics to find inespensive ways to do it that I was in controll of not having to schedual a time with a trainer... Do it on your own and you can take all the time that you need without the lineup waiting for a machine. And you have the satisfaction of saying " I did this for me all by myself!" YOU CAN DO THIS. I Am standing here on the imagnary sidelines of your future cheering for you and shaking my pom poms. Keep moving forward and don't beat yourself up when you have slip ups. It is all part of the learning curve. I am still there myself. With lots of huggs and encouragement sent your way today. Another survivor of the "Obease Generation"

Here is a great resource to take you back to just "proteins" and cut out any (complex) or white-don't-bite carbs mindset: www.idealprotein.com -- medically supervised and diet rich in protein -- guaranteed 3-4# WL per week, so naturally you can/could lose the weight much sooner than Valentine's Day -- just as another poster referenced. Godspeed and Good Luck!
