Monica, I had open RNY with the Fobi pouch on 6/27/03. I am down 61 pounds. I had an epidural while in the hospital that they took out the morning I went home (had surgery on Friday and went home Sunday). I only took a pain pill when I got home from the hospital and another one that night before bed. I did not need them after that. It was hard getting in and out of bed the first four days home, after that it got much better. The pain was not bad at all. I assume you are asking what I ate postop? I was given clear liquids then pureed foods the morning I went home. I had to continue the pureed foods for one month and then got to add regular foods. I ate a lot of string cheese (low-fat), yogurt, scrambled eggs, canned chicken with some light mayo mixed in. I could only eat about 1 oz at a time in the beginning. I still cannot eat a lot at a time so I use the Real Meals, 1/2 pouch in the morning and 1/2 pouch at night for a total of 60 g of protein since I cannot get all my protein through food at this point. Good luck! Feel free to e-mail me with any specific questions.
