Before I had my surgery I inform my doctor that I have to have my colon checked every 5 years because colon cancer runs in my family and they already took polyps out of me two years ago. I asked him would that be a problem after having ryn done. He said no. So if I can get my colon checked, I would think its ok to have a colon cleansing. I would check with my doctor first though.

Probably. But why? Our intestines are self-cleaning. You can buy a bottle of Fleet Phospho-Soda at the grocery store/pharmacy for under $5 and it will clean you right out. That's what my GI has people use as prep for a colonoscopy. One bottle of that and my intestines were pristine--I even have pictures to prove it. A lot of the pill / tablet colon cleansers I've seen have a lot of fiber in them. I would worry that the fiber would expand in the pouch and cause some serious pain and problems. With the high colonic cleaners (essentially large volume enemas), I'd worry that the water pressure could have some sort of negative effect on the part of intestine/stomach that was left behind when the pouch was created.
