Question:
Does anyone know Dr. Jaward in Ocala?
I was wonderding if anyone has Dr. Jaward in Ocala FL, for a surgeon? I don't know how to look in the database! If you do have Dr. Jaward, how was your experience with him? thanks — Donna M. (posted on February 10, 2009)

I know Dr. Jawad. He perform my surgery 7 months ago. He is very nice and
knowlegable. Very professional. My only problem is that he wasn't real
friendly. I mean he didn't get to know me or my personality. He didn't ask
me anything about my family life or anything. He did take extra time out to
convince me to do the Lap RNY instead of the Lap Band, inwhich I'm very
thankful for that. I have been back for several follow up visits and I have
never seen him since my surgery. I've always seen in his Nurse Practioner.
His staff is great. They are very friendly and professional. I do feel a
little abandoned because I don't live in Ocala. I live in Jacksonville so
if really don't have a doctor here in town that is designated to help me
with questions or concerns about my diet. I am thankful for Dr. Jawad and
his staff. I would recommend him because he is very talent in this field.

I personally know many people that have had RNY with him and have had good
results, only one with complications but that happens. I have heard the
same that the prior author said that he is wonderful, just not much of a
bedside manner. Lots of experience. Be sure to go to his seminars, ask a
lot of questions, talk to people that are both thrilled and not so thrilled
with him to hear both sides of the story before making a decision. A lot
of people here in Jacksonville, FL go to Ocala to him as their insurance
pays for him.

Dr Jawad performed my VSG 9/22/08 and I could not be happier. He explained
things very well and even returned calls himself when I emailed with
questions. HIs colleague did remove my staples but I saw him at my post op
appointment. He doesn't talk a lot but is very willing to answer any of
your questions. HIs staff is equally accommodating. I live in Lake county
just 20 miles south of his office so am also able to attend his monthly
support group meetings.

Dr. Jawad is the best you can of course verify his malpractise claims with
the state and please compare him to other such as over-slash ( william todd
overcash) i know half a dozen people whom have had rny and lap band and not
a single complaint from anyone if you feel unwell after surgery and call at
any time his there any hour any day he is so serious about his practise and
his patients he has two large meetings each and every year at the hilton
for all his patients to get together and meet is so involved in after care
choose Jawad you will never regret it!! if i had not had so many people
refer me to him i might not have chosen out of a list but research and you
will see the other main sugeon in ocala overcash has lost so many people
in the ''operating suite'' and once lost a patient because he would not
come to the emergeny room when see showed up and even the emergengy room
doctor called him - Jawad is the real deal make the choice and you'll never
regret it!!!!

I agree if you attend his seminar you will see a little more of his
personality. I think he was wonderful and his bedside manner was fine. I
had complications with blood pressure after surgery and he kept me another
day at the hospital he was very cautious and caring. I was living in
Oviedo at the time so it was pretty far to go back and forth. Kevin was
wonderful he did all my follow ups in the Orlando office but he has moved
on. You can attend one of his support meetings and meet patients, the
times and dates are listed on his site. Let me know if you have any other

WITH HIM AND HIS STAFF. ALL OF THEM WERE ALWAYS MORE THAN NICE WHEN I WENT

Hi, he is my surgeon and I am having lap RNY on 2/24. I have to confess,
his administrative office staff seem to have problems calling/emailing me
back and they did get some of my paperwork insurance data confused a few
times, which had me concerned, but I have nothing bad yet to say about him
or his medical staff and have never heard a SINGLE bad thing about him.
Feel free to msg me and we can be friends if you want to follow along with
how things go for me. As a side note, anyone in Seminole/Volusia county who
want to start up a support group, please let me know :o) Once I recover, I
may even be interested in coordinating it if need be. I have heard Dr.
Jawad isn't overflowing with bedside manner, but that his staff more than
makes up for it and his hospital staff can't be beat. I go for my pre-op
at his office and the hospital tomorrow, so I'll be posting on my profile
