Yes it does... I am in Ky. You just need to go talk to the doctor that does gastric bypass surgeys and they will take care of everything... where you live?

here in tx the hosp has to be a center of excellence . i'm waiting for my surgeon to find one was going to have wls on april 11th but the hosp that he does wls at lost there center of excellence. why i cant find out . Brenda in tx

Yes it does. It must be an approved Center of Excellence as identified by the American Society of Bariatric Surgeons or the American College of Surgeons. If you are in the area of New Orleans, Dr. Ordone(sp?) and St. Tammany Hospital. I didn't use him, but alot of others have and I understand that he is really a nice man, his office support is very good and he seems not to have many complications. Good Luck, it is the best thing that you will ever do for yourself.

Im in Nebraska and all I did was call the main Medicaid office and they told me what the requirements were for my state. They can also give you the names of Doctors that except Medicaid.
