Question:
Can anyone give me some information about pregnancy ?

I had Lap RNY on October 24th and just found out that I am pregnant and am a little concerned because I'm feeling as weak and tired as I did about 2 to 3 weeks post op.I would love to talk to anyone who has experienced pregnancy this soon after WLS    — sonyaracene (posted on February 23, 2008)

wow that is really really early to get pregnant. I was not allowed to get pregnant for 18mths tell after surgery I was 15 mths. I had to get 5-7 snack small meals a day to keep myself and sugar levels ok. I would recommened doing that or having them take sailine the stuff in your lap rny out so you can eat more for you and your baby. Then have them put the pouch back to normal again later after baby is born.

Hi Sonya, I am currently 6 1/2 months pregnant. My pregnancy was not planned, 1 month post-op I became pregnant due to non absorb birth control pills. Take extra care of your body & your child by continuing to fuel your body w/ good foods,4x's daily & drink lots of water. At 6 months I became Iron deficient. You may need to talk to your DR @ checking your Iron level. That has helped w/ my energy level. I would love to continue to hear how you are doing. I have not found anyone like myself that is pregnant so soon after WLS. ABBY
