I listed to a plastic surgeon who specialized in baritric patients at a support group last week. You need to find a plastic surgeon who specializes in WLS patients, because our skin tends to be thinner from the excess weight before surgery. Next, the amount of time needed for each surgery is considered. The surgeon only wants you to have about 6 hours on the operating table. Longer periods under anesthesia tend to increase health issures that may adversely affect the surgery itself or the healing process. It's safer to have two longer surgeries done at different times than one long period under anesthetic.
