Hi Barbara, at 6 wks I hit my first plateau. I had lost 45 pounds very quickly but then the scale did not move for 10 days. I was concerned but the nurse told me that your body has to adjust to rapid weight loss. The reason for my plateau. My first period since before surgery in December 2001. The water weight can make you gain or stay the same. But I am happy to tell you that after the end of my cycle the scale dropped 8 pounds in 1 day. Hang in there & make sure you walk everyday. had the operation on a monday--got out of the hospital that wensday. the next monday at dr.s office to remove drain tube and went from pre opt weight of 375 to 350 in one week--
