You say "i eat peanut butter and if that doesnt do i eat graham crackers". What do you mean? What is "if that doesn't do I eat graham crackers? Maybe you need to stop eating graham crackers, they are carbs.

Sharon- Now that you have a new bariatric surgeon at Texas Tech, you need to make a follow-up appointment and review your prolonged stall. Also, graham crackers are very high in carbohydrates and should be avoided if you are concerned that you need to lose additional weight. Additionally, although there is some protein in peanut butter, it is still loaded with calories, and, because it's relatively easy to throw a spoon of the stuff on a cracker, or eat it out of the jar, many of us fall victim to eating a little too much of the stuff.

Sharon- I agree you need to look at what you are eating- perhaps you might try going back on the pre/post op no sugar clear liquid diet for 3-4 days to get your metabolism moving and then slowly start solids again but keep a diary and drink your water! Just a thought. Donna A

Let me first congratulate you on your maintained weight loss. That's great. I have my surg scheduled on 10/31 and am very excited. Anyway, I have to agree with the others, graham crackers are extremely high in sugar/carbs and peanut butter is a great source of protein, but it you look at the ingredients list, sugar is one of the first 5 ingredients. If you truly love PB and don't want to give it up, use your food processor and make your own - that way you control the ingredients that go in it. You will have to stir it every time that you want to use it as the oil will separate, but it is still good. Try to cut out the carbs and focus on the protein for 1-2 weeks. Can you eat tuna fish? Use the one in water - great source of protein. So good luck to you, you can lose it by your surgery date ..... focus on why you had the surgery in the first place and how much better you will look after the plastics ..... I'm sure you are beautiful now..... God's speed...

Sharon, I congraulate you for you having the surgery. Continue to walk. Walk, walk, walk. Careful with the carbohydrates. They are really bad for you. Limit them as much as possible. My surgeon gives me dirty looks when I tell him I eat them. If you do, make them whole grains. Now, my story. I was stuck at 275 from 412 for months. I was going crazy. I started semi-running and I use a cane to walk. My feet were beginning to peel, I was walking so much. Then one day, the weight started coming off in chunks. 9 pounds one month, 6 pounds the next. I dropped 50 pounds like that. Then is came back a little and I'm at 240. I think the body knows what it's doing and women's bodies do it better than men's. My advise is relax a little. Give yourself a pat on the back for having the surgery and when the skin comes off give yourself another pat on the back. Take a deep breath and start again. Like you're starting a food regimen again and set another goal. You'll see. The weight will drop off. That little stomach will tell you. It always tells me. 8) Fred 8)))

I know you know what your doing wring. It only hurts when your TOLD what your doing wrong. So let's move forward. Here is what given to me and it does work. You need to stay positive and stick to it. Mike #1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau #2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day #3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr) #4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day beef pork chicken turkey lamb fish eggs low fat cheese cottage cheese plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?) peanut butter beans/legumes You may also have: sugar free popsicles tea or coffee sugar free jello broths/bullion (sp?) crystal light drinks #5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!! #6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

Another thing to remember along with all the rest of this is that muscle weighs more than fat......in my case I see my clothes getting bigger and looser and I have to buy a smaller size but I have only lost 5 pounds according to the scales....So that is what the dr told me....although for 7 months I don't know......I went from 375 pounds on Nove 29,2005 and am now at 219......although I haven't tried graham crackers they just don't sound appealing to me....But that is me....the only other thing I can say is talk to your surgeon/Dr......Hope I've been some help to you....
