God Bless you and your family, Cindy, I am so sorry for your loss. I know it must hurt and for her to leave you during recovery after the WLS, especially after you had a successful surgery. We won't know why she was called to exit until we get on the other side. I will pray for you to heal from this hurt. Lyn Anders

There are no words that I can say that will help with this loss. One thing that we do have in common, and that I am grateful for, is prayer. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

I am so sorry for your pain and grief that you are going through right now. When I read your email, I cried. We all know the risk we take when we have this surgery but so many of us (myself even) really don't believe the worst will happen. I don't know the path that got your Aunt to where she was in her life. But I am confident that she made her peace with God well before the day of the surgery. It's so hard for us to let go of our loved ones but I know that God loves each and everyone of us more than anyone else. He needed her to come home where she would suffer no more, not have to fit the mold that society puts on us, she would not have to audition for anything else...she can just live, love, truly be joyful and at peace. In honor of your Aunt, you stay healthy (mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually). In my heart, I know that is exactly what she would want for you. We honor those we love most by carrying on even when we want to stop living and loving. Your Aunt would not want you to undo all of your hard work. Be of good courage. Take one day at a time. Sometimes all of us have to take it hour by hour. God bless you and your family today, tomorrow, and always.

I am so sorry to hear about your aunt.....it's so rare that it's shocking to hear about it when someone does pass away from this surgery. But, like other's have said, she is up in heaven with God now. I firmly believe that. We are all here if/when you need us.

Cindy, I know that your are hurting so bad over the loss of your aunt. Let me tell you something though, I that happened to me. I weighed 426 lbs when I had surgery and knew that at that weight that there was a serious problem with going under the knife with all the problems that I had prior to surgery. I had many complications and almost didn't make it. Spent many days in intenstive care and don't remember next to nothing about it. I made it through, but many people have asked me that if I knew what I know now about what I had to go through and if you look at my profile You will see that I went through quite a bit, Let me tell you, she did it because it was absolutely the only thing that she could possibly do for herself and she took the dangerous chance that she did in order to get any kind of life back. She made her choice and she has gone on to a greater place. Try not to mourn for her too much. She tried the most important thing that she could do to get her life back. It was just God's decision and I guess that He needed her more. Please try not to mourn for her too much, she had to try. She did her best for herself. And knowing all the problems that I went through and all the heartbreak that I put my husband and children and family through and the chances I took, I would do it all over again and put my best foot forward and let God decide what my outcome would be. God bless you all and please understand that she had to. Take care and God Bless. Debbie

Cindy Earth has no sorrow that heaven can not heal. God said he would be with us even until the end of the world. So God was with your Aunt. Even after all this nothing eases the pain of death due to us being human beings. So cry and morn, but just know that people are praying for you and your family and each day gets a little better.
