Question:
coffee creamer

Does anyone know if we are allowed to use coffeemate in our coffee pre op and post op?    — cuppaloopy (posted on October 14, 2009)

they have a fat free version and a sugar free version and they are all around 10 cals per teaspoon. just remember-- the calories add up if you have more than one cup or one spoon or two in your coffee.

Hello, My mother is a coffee-mate addict. She had her surgery about 8 years ago. She started drinking her coffee about 2 weeks after her surgery, and has done very well on it. Just remember, you have to make sure that you eat, coffee can fill you up. She has to make sure she gets the healthy stuff in first. Jess

Just rememeber when you drink coffee, you are supposed to have twice as much water also. I do not drink coffee anymore, I just can't afford the added calories of it.

Ok you are not suppose do caffine or coffee after surgery so creamer is not the issue. Many do and it seems ok but they seem to go over board so maybe a transfer addiction issue. The creamer should be sugar and fat free to avoid dumping.
