Question:
will i get better

I had gastric bypass 6weeks ago and I have to drains in to correct a leak. I have had trouble eating soft food also. I wonder if I will be able to get back on the diet.    — beechybaby (posted on May 3, 2010)

Diane, I assure you it gets better, but like I have said repeatedly, this is a tough rough road. I am getting better and better by the month, but I can't eat a lot of foods including meat. Take it slow, drink your protein shakes, take your vitamins, drink all your water, and listen to your NUT and Dr.

Diane, I agree with Shelly....you will get better. This is a temporary setback and it will pass. Stay spiritually and emotionally stong. Will keep you in my prayers.... Karen

Take it one day at a time and believe in your body's ability to heal itself. When OH friends told me it would get better, I was doubtful because I felt so terrible. But nine months later I can promise you that it will get better. Hang in there.

I am going to say And this to shall pass, it seems like it wont but I assure you, you will get back on track. Just do what the Dr. says and you should get to feeling better soon. Best wishes Stacie

Thnigs will get a lot better, trust me I have been there. Someone told me after the fact though, THE FIRST 3 MONTHS OF GASTRIC IS HELL! Boy they were right but everything gets better and it seems to happen overnight! Hang in there
