Question:
IF YOU DON'T HAVE A SLD, CAN YOU STILL GET A REVISION?

I HAD SURGERY BACK IN SEPTEMBER AND HAVE LOST 90 POUNDS. IN THE LAST COUPLE MONTHS HAVEN'T LOST ANYTHING, HAVE ACTUALLY GAINED 5 POUNDS. DR. DID A UPPER GI BACK IN JNAUARY AND EVERYTHING LOOKED FINE. I AM HUNGRY ALL THE TIME AND NEVER GET THAT FULL FEELING, I SEE WEIGHT COMING BACK ON AND IT SCARES ME TO DEATH. I WAS NOT TRANSECTED. IS THERE ANYWAY I COULD BE APPROVED FOR A REVISION ANYWAY?    — GALE G. (posted on May 15, 2003)

I have two friends that are going thru this right now. gaining wt. and no sld. They are having a VERY hard time finding a doctor that will do a revision.

I don't know YOUR insurance at all. I do know I've seen many approved for revision based on wt gain alone, even without SLD or fistula or mechanical issues. Before they get on that table (at least if they come here), they gota know THEIR part in the process. So far, they have been successful in having insurance pay AND getting the wt loss they dreamed about.
